TEMPLATE INSTALLATION

Already have a Squarespace website? Our installation service applies your chosen template to your existing squarespace site, keeping your domain, SEO, and current content fully intact.

  • This service is perfect for anyone who loves one of our Squarespace templates but already has an existing Squarespace site. If you want to keep your domain, SEO, and content intact while upgrading to a stunning new design, this is for you.

    • Your chosen template fully installed onto your current Squarespace site.

    • New template pages will sit in your unlinked section ready for you to edit and move up into the main navigation when you’re ready

    • Template fonts and colour scheme applied site-wide

    • Existing pages and blog visually aligned with the new design

    • Seamless integration of your existing blog posts and pages with the new design.

    Please note: site-wide styling will update the appearance of all pages. If you have specific layout concerns or custom elements, we recommend getting in touch before purchasing.

  • After you’ve purchased your new template and Add on installation package we will be in touch with instructions on how to add us to your site as an administrator.

    Once you’ve given us admin access we can then install the template pages directly onto your existing site, with your new pages sitting in the “unlinked area” of your website out of view from any visitors until you have completed your edits and moved them into the main navigation.

  • After purchasing your new template and add on customisation package, you send us your design files, colour codes, fonts and logos and we get to work installing your brand framework.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • SQUARESPACE TEMPLATES -

    Within 24 hours, you will receive an email from Squarespace inviting you to become a contributor on your new site. Simply click "accept" and your template will appear on your Squarespace dashboard ready for you to edit. We will then complete the ownership transfer and remove ourselves from access, unless you’re having us help with the edit process.

    SOCIAL MEDIA TEMPLATES-

    You will receive a download link that will open immediately in Canva ready for you to save and edit

  • Not at all! Squarespace Support has guides and videos to help navigate the platform, or email us! There are also amazing tutorials on you tube that we will point you towards if you need any specific instructions.

  • Our templates are built for Squarespace 7.1. If you have an existing Squarespace site running on 7.0 we can help you with the upgrade.

  • Absolutely! Ev-er-y-thing is customizable: imagery, typography, logo/browser icon, layout & more. Every element you see within the design can be tailored to your vision and brand. You can also add in new pages and functionality - or you can hire us to do it for you!

  • No. Some templates do have code included but everything is explained fully with editing options. If you have questions regarding Custom CSS, reach out to bea@killvanillastudio.com

    Our premium “Custom Effect” templates do require coding for the features to work. Full details specific to these listings can be found on the listing page.

  • No, you don't need to be a Squarespace Circle Member to use our templates, but you will need a Squarespace account. It is free to sign up to Squarespace and you will receive our Platinum Circle Member perks when you purchase your template via us. This means you will get 12 months “free trial” to edit your template before going live (standard free trial editing period is 14 days)

  • All written copy is included. Imagery supplied is for demo purposes and is intended to be replaced. In some instances fonts will require a separate download and links will be provided.

  • Once your website is ready to launch, you will need to purchase a Squarespace plan and domain (if you don't already have one) A business plan is required for full features of your template to work. When you sign up for an annual plan you will receive a 20% discount as well as a free domain for your first year as part of our Squarespace Circle Member Perks.

  • Since our templates are digital products, we can't offer refunds. If you run into any issues with your template please drop us an email and we will be able to help.
